hello friend....!!

• According to your question we should calculate the average velocity.

•ln the first case it is given that,
distance covered = 50km and speed =45km/hr

• In second case it is given that,
distance = 50km and speed = 90 km/hr

according to case ( 1 ) , the time taken is

V = d / t

implies, t = d / V

t = 50 / 45 = 10 / 9 ------( 1 )

similarly for case ( 2 )

V = d / t

t = d / v

t = 50 / 90 = 10 / 18 = 5 / 9 -----( 2)

the total distance covered

D = 50 + 50 = 100 km

therefore,

the average velocity is

V = 100 / ( 10/9 + 5/9 )

V = 100 / ( 15/9)

V = 100 / ( 5/3)

v = ( 100 x 3 ) / 5

therefore,

V = 20 x 3

v = 60 km / hr.

therefore the average velocity is 60km/hr
