first take the top most line, i.e, [1/6 + 1/ 12]

= 3/ 12 = 1/4

1/ R = 1/ 4

R = 4 ohm

Resistance of top most line = 4 + 8 = 12 ohm

Now, 1/ 12 + 1/ 12 = 1/ R

2/ 12 = 1/ R
R = 6 ohm



1/ 6 + 1/ 18 = 1/ R
Net resistance of circuit = 18/ 4 ohm = 4.5 ohm



By Ohm's Law
V = IR

24 = I x 18

I = 24/ 18

I = 1.33 A
