There are many well known monuments in Delhi such as Qutub Minar, Red Fort, India Gate, Jantar Mantar etc. Charminar in Hyderabad, many other famous monuments such as the Gateway of India in Mumbai make India popular all over the world. Religious monuments such as Jagannath Temple, Konark Sun Temple, Badrinath Temple, Delhi’s Jama Masjid, Amritsar’s Golden Temple are some of the great buildings associated with Indian history and religion.

All these monuments tell the story of our rich past. Millions of tourists from all over the world come to India to see these monuments. Indian monuments are considered to be the best in the world for their archaeological value, design and historical significance. But it is a pity that today it is losing its luster. We must have to visit these monuments along with our kids to get the glimpse of our rich past and to learn about our ancestors.The government should take initiative to protect these monuments. At the same time, local people should also consider their duty to these monuments so that these historic buildings can be saved and protect for our future generations too.
