please help me..
tomorrow my exam wii going on.

1.when a car or bus starts suddenly then the passenger falls backwards.why?
2.when a car or bus stop suddenly then the passenger falls forwards.why?

give answer me briefly

1. so before the car starts we are in rest...
when the car starts our leg goes with that of the car but the upper body stops due to the inertia as u know that inertia is the tendency of an object either to stay at rest or keep moving... so the upper body opposes the motion and we fall backwards


2. when the car is moving we are in motion with the car
when the sudden brakes are applied our leg goes with that of the moving car and stops... but the upper body opposes the this due to the inertia of motion and hence we are thrown forward

(1)When car starts suddenly,It suddenly get in motion but passenger tries to stay at rest due to inertia of rest that is why it falls backwards.

(2)When car starts suddenly,It suddenly comes to rest but passenger tries to stay in motion due to inertia of motion that is why it falls towards.
