1. Washing powder does not dissolves in water as in washing powder there are contains of soap and soap does not lathers / dissolves in hard water.

2. a) We can test by doing a chemical test with that water... and in that if salts such as magnesium / manganese are present , it's definitely hard water

b)Factor is the salt content of the water

c)Quantity of the water / soap test of the water we will keep the same

3.a)We shall collect wheather the water contains salts like magnesium or mananese etc.

b)If we have found that the specific salts are there , we are sure of our investigation

c)First we will heat the water above 100C

then water will vaporize

then salts will collect at the bottom of the container

then we shall test the salts by a flame test

and then it's (i.e. the observation) is complete
