it is bcz 24carat gold is said to be the purest gold..and jewelry cant be made in the purest form of gold as it melts on room remperature...
so jwelries are made of gold by adding some more metals like zinc or nickel to give it a perfect shape!!!

Rita prefers 22 carat jewellery instead of 24 carat because it is so soft and melts at room temperature so jewellery can't be made of it
