The plant which one is kept outside will be able to carry out the process of making food on its own called photosynthesis,other one will not..

This happened because the plant requires sunlight,etc. for the photosynthesis ,so the plant which is outside get sufficient sunlight for the process whereas the plant in dark room is not getting sufficient sunlight.

Plant starch test is the test used to find out the occurrence of photosynthesis as you can see

if the plant would be in the sunlight it would simply produce more starch and then it would store it in it's leaves or other parts. If the plant is kept in the dark room then simply the plant would stop producing the glucose and the it would use up all the starch in it and the plant would become starch less.
