⊥ distance of point P from one infinetly long wire is = xcos(π/2 - ∅/2)

= xsin ∅/2

Electric field due to one infinetly long wire = λ/2πε₀ * 1/ xsin ∅/2 N/C = E'

similarliy, Electric field due to anotheer infinetly long wire =  λ/2πε₀ * 1/ xsin ∅/2 N/C = E'

E net = √E² + E² + 2E²Cos ∅

= E √1 + 1 + 2cos ∅

= E√2 + 2 cos ∅

= 2E √1 + cos∅

= 2  λ/2πε₀ * 1/ (xsin ∅/2) * √1 + cos∅ [ the direction of electric field is along +ve OP]

2). here only direction of electric field is changed and magnitude will same.

So, direction is ⊥ to P along -λ
