Here's your answer --

a). angle z = 60

it is because the sum of all the angles of a triangle is 180°.

and the sum of other two angles is 65 + 55 = 120.

so, 120 + z = 180.

z = 180 - 120.

z = 60, hence proved.

b). 1. angle x = 55°

2. angle x is 55° because, CD is parallel to AB and CB is transversal.

so, angle x = angle b, by the rule of alternate interior angles

so, angle x = 55° , hence proved.

Hope it helps !!

Answer:

a) Because in a triangle sum of all the angles is 180° so two angles are given to be 65° and 55° therefore we can find out the third angle by subtracting these two angles from 180°

b) i) x=55°

Step-by-step explanation:

a) 65°+55°+z=180°

z=180°-(65°+55°)

z=189°-120°

z=60°

b) ii) In the above figure CD and AB are parallel lines. therefore angle ABC and angle ECD are alternate angles..and alternate angles are equal that is why angle X equal to angle B.
