1. Let the side of the first square be x

∴ The side of second square= x+5

(x+5)²-x²= 325

⇒x²+25+10x-x²= 325

⇒10x= 325-25

⇒x=300/10

∴x= 30

The side of the first square is 30cm and the side of the second square is 35cm
