'Nirmal Vidyalaya Saptaha'(school hygiene week) is one of the most effective interventions under the nirmal vidyalaya abhiyan.Launched in 2012 the drive has been accorded high acceptance and ownership by all stakeholders.The purpose of organising nirmal vidyalaya saptaha is to trigger a positive behavioral change in communication process by engaging children as advocates for good practices.
In 2015 also,the school educational department had decided to observe 'Nirmal Vidyalaya Saptaha' in all the primary, upper primary and high schools including SSKs, MSKs and madrashas from sept 7 th to sept 10 th 2015. In that week,it was seen to be awareness drive around WASH in the schools and community led by thr teachers and childrens and supported by the gram panchayats.
