Answer:

y = -8/3 x - 9

Step-by-step explanation:

Given :

Point p (-6 , 5 ) and Point q (-3 ,-3 )

Standard equation of line :

y - y1 = m ( x - x1 ). .........eq 1

here m is the slope of line !

and we have 2 points so we can find slope ,m of line -

m =( y2 - y1 )/ (x2 - x1 )

  • put the points from p and q

= ( -3 - 5 ) / ( -3 - (-6))

= -8 / 3

now we put the value in eq 1 , we get

y - 5 = m ( x - (-6))

=> y - 5 = -8/3 ( x + 6 )

=> 3 ( y - 5 ) = -8 ( x + 6 )

  • multiply eq by 3

=> 3y - 15 = -8x - 42

=> y = ( -8x - 27 )/3

=> y = -8/3 x - 9

Hope it's helpful :)
