in 20 th (3) option but 4th one is correct

As Z has 3electrons in valence shell therefore it can share only 3 electrons forming ZCL3 but can't form ZCL5

y has 6 electrons therefore can exist in triatomic form

x has valency 1 ,z has valency3 therefore compound formed is X3Z

As 3rd shell can have 8 electrons maximum so X has to gain 7 more electrons

x and y combine to form ( y has valency (8-6)=2 and X has valency 1) so it'a X2Y

Z has valency 3. , y has 2 so compound formed is Z2Y3
