Answer:

\huge\tt\underline{Question}

State the type of chemical reactions with the chemical equations that take place in the following.

1) electric current is passed through water.

2)methene gas burns in oxygen of air.

3)ammonia and hydrogen chloride gases are mixed.

\huge\tt\underline{answer}

1) electric current is passed through water.

=>chemical reaction-When electricity is passed through water then decomposition reaction takes place. This process is called electrolysis of water.

=> chemical equation- 2 H2O(l) → 2 H2(g) + O2(g)

2) methene gas burns in oxygen of air.

=> chemical reaction- when methene gas burns in oxygen of air,the reaction is called "combustion reaction" 1 molecule of methane in an interaction with 2 molecules of oxygen forms 1 molecule of carbon dioxide and 2 molecules of water.

=> chemical equation- CH4+2O2→CO2+2H2O

3) ammonia and hydrogen chloride gases are mixed.

=> chemical reaction- Answer:The type of chemical reaction which takes place on mixing ammonia and Hydrogen Chloride gas is combination reaction.

=> chemical equation- NH3 (g) + HCl (g) →NH4Cl(s)
