Answer: (A) 24 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

OQ is the radius of the circle.

So that the diameter can be considered as 2OQ.

A triangle POQ will be formed with right angled at Q.

Consider this triangle POQ.

OQ² = OP² - PQ²

⇒ OQ² = 13² - 5²

⇒ OQ² = 169 - 25

⇒ OQ² = 144

⇒ OQ = 12                            OR                        OQ = - 12 (not possible)

⇒ 2OQ = 2 × 12 = 24 cm

Thank you. :-))

HEY ÁÑSHU HERE IS YOUR ANSWER--

RADIUS OF CIRCLE BE ≈✰[OQ]

GIVEN ,

✰ OP=>13cm

✰PQ => 5 cm

BY THE PYTHAGORAS THEOREM

THE DIAMETER WILL BE :-

✰OQ²= OP²- PQ

✰ OQ²=(13)² - (5)²

✰ OQ²=169-25

✰OQ²=144

 \sqrt{144} = 12

✰OQ = 12 ( RADIUS)

DIAMETER =2 × RADIUS

✰>2×12cm

✰>24 cm

HENCE 24cm IS THE DIAMETER OF GIVEN QUESTION
