areaof \: hexagon =  \frac{3 \sqrt{3} }{2} a^{2}  \\  =  \frac{3 \sqrt{3} }{2}  \times  {8}^{2}  \\  =  \frac{3 \sqrt{3} }{2}  \times 64 \\  = 96 \sqrt{3} \:   {cm}^{2}

area =lxb=12x4=48 cm²

Area of given fig. =96√3+48

= 48(2√3+1)

or

= 48(2x1.732+1)

=48x4.464

=214.272
