Why don't birds get electrocuted when they land on an electric wire?

it is because electrons are lazy! they always prefer to take the shortest path.

it would rather pass through the wire rather than passing through the bird and again going through the wire.if the bird puts its legs on two wires of electric current then it would get electrocuted.

same as man.if a man holds a single electric wire he would not get electrocuted.but when he hold two wires or hold the electric wire by touching the ground he would get electrocuted.the birds don't get electrocuted because it sits with its two legs on a single electric wire.

sometimes crow die because while sitting on a single electric wire its feather may touch on other electric wire therefore it gets electrocuted.
