Given :  A spinner with 8 Sections . Ellie want to win  a free drink, a free dessert, or free fries. She thinks probability to win = 3/8

To find :  What is the actual  probability  of winning

Solution:

Spinner has has sections of equal Size

But there is a line between Each section

and spinner can stop at those 8 lines too

where no on wins any things

Hence probability of each section < 1/8

Ellie  hopes to win a free drink, a free dessert, or free fries

=> 3 Sections

=> Probability of 3 Section < 3/8

=> probability of winning of Ellie < 3/8

Ellie thinks Probability of winning = 3/8

Ellie is incorrect.

Her actual probability of winning a free drink, free dessert, or free fries greater or less than what she thinks it is
