 p(x) =  {x}^{5} + 3

p(0) =  {(0)}^{5} + 3 = 0 + 3 = 3

p(1) =  {(1)}^{5} + 3 = 1 + 3 = 4

p( - 1) =  {( - 1)}^{5} + 3 =  - 1 + 3 = 2

 \frac{p(0) - p(1)}{p( - 1)}

 =  \frac{3 - 4}{2}

 =  \frac{ - 1}{2}

Hope this helps.

Thanks.
