Answer:

New Mean = 10

Step-by-step explanation:

Original Mean of 16 numbers = 8

⇒ Mean = Sum of all terms / Number of terms.

⇒ 8 = Sum / 16

⇒ Sum of all terms = 16 × 8 = 128

Now 2 is added to all 16 terms.

Then total change in the sum would be 32 excess. ( Since 16 × 2 = 32 )

Therefore New sum = 128 + 32 = 160

⇒ New Mean = New Sum / Number of terms

⇒ New Mean = 160 / 16 = 10

Hence the new mean is 10.

Hope it helped !!

According to the Question,

There are 16 numbers

Mean = 8.

Let their sum be p.

Hence

Mean = \bf\huge\frac{p}{16}

Mean = 8.

By the Information

If 2 is added to each number then the sum increases

16 × 2 = 32

New mean we'll divide by 16

Mean = \bf\huge\frac{p+32}{16}

⇒ 8 + 2 = 10.

New mean is 10.
