\frac{(1-2x)+(1+2x)}{(4x+1)+(x-3)}=\frac{1}{2}\\\\\frac{1+1-2x+2x}{4x+x+1-3}=\frac{1}{2}\\\\\frac{2}{5x-2}=\frac{1}{2}\\\\2*2 = 1(5x-2)\\\\5x=6\\x=\frac{6}{5}

answer will be x = 6/5.

Just group similar terms, add/subtract and then cross multiply across the = sign.
