let the equal sides be x.

and the third side be y.

by the 1st given condition,

x=3y
x-3y=0..................................(1)

by the second given condition

perimeter=28cm
x+x+y=28
2x+y=28................................(2)

multiply equation no.(2) by 3

6x+3y=84.............................(3)

adding equation no. (1) & (3)

(x-3y)+(6x+3y)=0+84

x-3y+6x+3y=84

x+6x=84

7x=84

x=84/7

x=12

substitute x=12 in equation no. (1)

x-3y=0
(12)-3y=0
12-3y=0
12=3y
i.e

3y=12
y=12/3
y=4

so, we get
x=12 &y=4

the equal sides is 12cm
and the third side is 4cm

THEREFORE,
THE SIDES OF GIVEN ISOSCELES TRIANGLE ARE 12cm,12cm&4cm.

hope this helps!!!
