Answer:

(i) Diameter = 6 cm

∴ Radius = 3 cm

Circumference = 2πr = 2 × 3.14 x 3 = 18.84 cm

Since figure given is of a semi-circle,

Perimeter = Circumference/2 + Diameter = 18.84/2 + 6

Perimeter = 15.42 cm

(ii) Perimeter of given figure = Perimeter of rectangle + Half of circumference

⇒ 2(17 + 5) + 2πr = 44 + 2(3.14)(17/2) = 44 + 6.28(8.5) = 44 + 53.38

Perimeter of the figure = 97.38 m

(iii) Perimeter of given figure = Circumference of the circle + 2 × breadths

⇒ 2πr + 2(3) = 2 × 3.14 × 8 + 6

Perimeter of the figure = 56.24 cm

Explanation for (iii) answer ;

The 2 semi circle combine to form a full circle and the lengths of the rectangle are not to be counted in as the perimeter of the given figure.
