an isosceles triangle's 2 sides are equal

now, the other side is (hypotenuse) is 4√2 cm

the Pythagoras theorem is: (hyp)² = adj² + opp²

now, adj and opp are equal, so:

(4√2)² = 2adj²

32 = 2adj²

16= adj²

adj= 4 cm

since adj= opp, then opp= 4 cm
