In 6 ohm resistance,

I = V/R = 12/6

= 2 A

We know that in series connection Current is always same in all resistances.

Therefore in resistance R,

R = VI = 6 × 2

= 12 ohm

2) Reading in ammeter =

I = V/R

= 6/12 = 0.5 A

Equivalent resistance= 12 ohm+ 6 ohm =18 ohm

3) V = IR = 0.5 × R(eq) = 1/2 × 18

= 9 V
