We\:know\:the\:formula\:for\:n^{th}\:second

\Rightarrow \red{\boxed{s_{n} = u + \dfrac{1}{2}a(2n - 1)}}

\rightarrow u = Initial\:velocity

\rightarrow a = Acceleration due to gravity</p><p>

\rightarrow n = Time

 s_{n}\:at\:8sec = u + \dfrac{1}{2}a{2(8) - 1)}

255 = u + \dfrac{15}{2}a [Equation (1)]

 s_{n}\:at\:13sec = u + \dfrac{1}{2}a{2(13) - 1)}</p><p>

225 = u + \dfrac{25}{2}a [Equation (2)]

\text{On subtracting the two equations,}

255 = u + \dfrac{15}{2}a - 225 = u + \dfrac{25}{2}a = -6

a = -6

\text{On putting the value in the equation 1,we get}

255 = 2u + \dfrac{15}{2} \times -6

It\:will\:give\:the\:value\:of\:u\:as\:300cms^{-1}</p><p>
