Hi there!

We human are or can be great storytellers.

But when it comes to writing a Story, we feel stumped, even if we have Great Imagination and a Zillion great ideas.. ! !

To write a Story, you have to get inspired, develop your content, and then revise your work until you've written the best story you can write.

Here are some simple Ideas that can help you write any story be it Fictional, Non-Fictional, Mystery, Imaginary etc.

!! DEVELOP INSPIRATION!!

♦ Pay attention to the world and see what's goin' around you.

♦ Get inspired by a story you heard.

♦ Get inspired by reading some short stories in the newspaper, magazine etc.

!! TRY N' IMPROVE YOUR WRITING SKILLS !!

♦ Take writing sessions [ Do it yourself.. It's better O_O ]

♦ Practice describing people, animal, things... or Anything that you can think of !

♦ Focus on 'how to write a story in fascinating way?' .. coz' if your story isn't interesting.. Nobody would mind reading it [ & We don't want that ]

♦ Watch out for grammatical mistakes ! ! !

♦ Write from the heart. [ Most important ]

!! REVISE YOUR STORY !!

♦ Give your story a break -- even if it's only for a day. Then, read it with new eyes, and try to see it as a reader instead of as a writer.

♦ Get feedback from people around you, be it your parent, siblings, friends, teachers [ Specially a language teacher :p ]

Last but, important...
♦ Be persistent. When you get frustrated, remind yourself that no first draft of a story is ever very good -- but that if you write a second, third, and even a fourth draft, that you have the potential to write a Fabulous story.

We all enjoy reading or listening to stories. One may pick up a novel, a collection of short stories or comics and be transported into a different world with various characters who take us along as the plot of the story unfolds. Here are names of some famous authors of children’s stories - Rushkin Bond, Enid Blyton, JK Rowling and so on.

Story writing can be fun if we follow certain guidelines.

GUIDELINES FOR STORY WRITING

➡ Firstly, an interesting plot is essential for a good story.

➡The various important events must be related and generally follow a chronological order of sequence of events. Sometimes, a past happening or event may also be included which a character may think of or which is required as a reference based on the main plot.

➡ The characters in the story must appear to be real. Sometimes, they may be absolutely imaginary like aliens, elves, fairies and so on.

➡ The writer may reveal the characters through a narrative or use another character to give a description. Sometimes, realistic incidents or behaviour of the characters help unfold the story to the reader.

➡ A story can be made gripping or interesting if there are sOme pieces of conversation or dialogue included ' at the right places.

'➡ The story should end on an interesting note. It arouses the curiosity of the reader if there is a twist at the end of the tale. The events of the story should not end abruptly.

➡ In order to make the story appealing to the reader, various adjectives and phrases are used for description of people, places and actions.

➡ The story should carry a message for the reader which may be implied or be obvious at the end.

WRITING STORIES WITH GIVEN OUTLINES

Stories can be written with the help of given outlines. The following points should be remembered while doing so.

➡Read the outlines, clues carefully and try to understand the main plot of the story.

➡ Do not leave out any point and maintain the order of the events. ' Connect every part so that they appear to be linked.

➡Introduce dialogue, wherever possible, to make the story interesting. ' A proverb or idiom may be used as the title of the story.

➡ The story should be written in simple English and in the past tense.
