The minute hand of a clock is 10.5 cm long . Find the area swept by it in 30 minutes.

Answer:
circumference of the clock= 2πr= 2×22/7×10.5=66 cm
∴ distance covered in 60 minutes= 66 cm
distance covered in 1 minute= 66/60 cm
distance covered in 30 minutes= 66/60×30=33 cm
