B) 1. The ball landed finally in the water.

2.The boy was sad and troubled at the loss of his ball.

3.His eyes are desperate because he has lost his ball.

4.The poet says that the boy is learning to cope up with the loss of the ball. He is experiencing grief and learning to grow up in this world of possessions. He learns that there are so many things in life that are to be lost and cannot be brought back.

5.The boy has lost his ball while playing. The poet says that from this loss, the boy will learn in his years, what it means to lose something. Thus he will understand the nature of loss or how to face and cope up with losses one suffers in life.

6.By the expression 'money is external' the poet signifies that money can never bring the luxurious in one's life. However when it comes to what is lost, money cannot help as it cannot bring back our feelings and emotions towards the particular thing or person.
