1. Resistance :

The resistance of a conductor is the ratio of the potential difference across its ends to the strength of the current flowing through it.

2. Resistivity :

Resistivity of a material is defined as the resistance offered by a cube of the material of side one metre when the current flows perpendicular to the opposite faces of the cube,

                                                      Or

Resistivity of a material is also defined as the resistance offered by a cylindrical conductor of the material of cross-sectional area one metre² and length one metre when current flows perpendicular to the opposite end of the cylinder.

3. Electric Power :

The rate at which work is done by an electric current is called electric power.

4. Pupil :

The pupil is a hole located in the center of the iris of the eye that allows light to strike the retina.

5. Power of Accommodation :

Power of accommodation of eye is the ability of the eye to observe distinctly the objects situated at widely different distances from the eye, on account of change in focal length of eye lens by the action of of ciliary muscles holding the lens.

The maximum power of accommodation of the eye for a person having normal vision (d=25 cm) is P = 100/f = 100/d = 100/25 = 4 dioptre.

6. Myopia :

Myopia or short sightedness is that defect of human eye by virtue of which it can see clearly the objects lying at short distances from it. But the off objects cannot be seen clearly by the myopic eye.

7. Hypermetropia :

Hypermetropia or Long-sightedness is that defect of human eye, by virtue of which it can see clearly the objects lying at large distances from it. But the nearby objects cannot be seen clearly by hypermetropic eye.
