Step-by-step explanation:

Q1. Since n is a transversal which intersects l and m.

Also l is parallel to m.

(i) m∠3 = 70° given

m∠5 = m∠3  (alternate interior angle)

hence m∠5 = 70°

(ii) Since n is a transversal which intersects l and m.

m∠4 + m∠5 =180° (angle on the same side of the transversal)

m∠4 = 180 - 60

m∠4 = 120°

(iii) m∠2 + m3 = 180°  => m∠3 = 180° - m∠2  -------------- 1.

and m∠3 + m∠6 = 180°  (angle on the same side of the transversal) ----------2.

From 1 and 2

180° - m∠2 + m∠6 = 180°

=> -m∠2 + m∠6 =0

=> m∠2 = m∠6

=> m∠2 = 135°

Q2. given m∠1 = 60°, m∠2 = 120°. m∠4 = 120°

∠3= ∠1 (vertically opposite angle)

∠3 = 60° --------(i)

∠3 + ∠6 = 180°  (angles on the same side of the transversal)

∠6 = 180° - ∠3

     = 180° - 60° = 120°

∠6 = 120° ----------(ii)

∠4 + ∠5 = 180°   (angles on the same side of the transversal)

∠5 = 180° - ∠4

     = 180° - 120° = 60°

∠5 = 60° ----------(ii)

∠7 = ∠5 (vertically opposite angle)

∠7 = 60°

∠8 = ∠6 (vertically opposite angle)

∠8 = 120°
