Given Equation is (2)^(x + 1) = 3^(1-x)

Apply log on both sides, we get

log(2^(x + 1)) = log(3^(1 - x))

(x + 1)log2 = (1 - x)log3

log(2)x + log 2 = log 3 - log(3)x

log(2)x + log(3)x = log(3/2)

(log(2) + log(3))x = log(3/2)

x =  \frac{log \frac{3}{2} }{log 2 + log 3}

x =  \frac{log (\frac{3}{2}) }{log (6)}

(or)

x =  \frac{log(3) - log(2)}{log 6}

Hope this helps!
