Let the length of the parallel sides be a and b (a < b) and that of the height be h.

Given their ratio,

→  a : b : h = 3 : 5 : 4

Let,

  • a = 3x
  • b = 5x
  • h = 4x

The area of the trapezium is 400 cm².

→  400 = h (a + b) / 2

→  400 = 4x (3x + 5x) / 2

→  400 = 16x²

→  x = 5 cm

Then,

  • a = 15 cm
  • b = 25 cm
  • h = 20 cm

The length of the slanted edges of the isosceles trapezium are equal and is given by,

→  c² = (b - a)²/4 + h²

→  c² = (25 - 15)²/4 + 20²

→  c² = 425 = 25 × 17

→  c = 5√17

Finally, perimeter of the trapezium is,

→  P = a + b + 2c

→  P = 15 + 25 + 10√17

→  P = 10(4 + √17) cm

Hence 2nd option is the answer.
