Solution: 45 km ×4 hours=180 km=180000m
No. of poles passed=180000÷50=3600.

1st you have to find how many 50 metres are there in 1 km. You will find that there are 20.

Now,

If the speed of the train is 1km per hour, it will cross 20 poles.
Thus if its moving at a speed of 45 kmph, it will cross 45x20= 900 poles per hour

Now no. of poles crossed in 4 hours will be 900x4=3600 poles
