let number of coins be " x " , Rs.1 = x , 50p = x / 2

according to question ,

x + x / 2 = 300

( 2x + x ) / 2 = 300

3x = 600

x = 600/ 3

x = 200

hence , there are 200 , 50p coins and 200 are 1 rupee coins.

x + x /2 = 300

x = 200 ( Rs.1 coins )

Rs.1 coins = 200 = 1 × 200= Rs. 200

Rs.300 = Rs.300

L.H.S = R.H.S

note :- Rs.100= 200p = 50 p coins

therefore, our solution is correct .
