$7. \\ \\ (i) \: \frac{a}{b} + \frac{b}{a} = \frac{2}{( - 3)} + \frac{( - 3)}{2} \\ \\ = \frac{4 + 9}{ - 6} \\ \\ = \frac{13}{ - 6} \\ \\ (ii) \frac{a {}^{3} - b {}^{3} }{ab} = \frac{2 {}^{3} - ( - 3) {}^{3} }{2 \times ( - 3)} \\ \\ \frac{8 + 27}{ - 6} \\ \\ = \frac{35}{ - 6} \\ \\ (iii) \: ab = 2 \times ( - 3) = - 6$
$8. \\ \\ side \: of \: a \: squre = x \\ \\ therefore \: \\ perimeter \: of \: square = 4 \times side \: of \: the \: square \\ \\ = 4x \\ \\ similarly \: perimeter \: of \: the \: other \: square \: whose \: side \: is \: y \\ \\ = 4y \\ \\ therefore \: sum \: of \: their \: perimeters \\ \\ = 4x + 4y \\ \\ = 4(x + y)$
