1 \times  \frac{1}{4}x +  \frac{3}{8}  = 2


 \frac{1}{4}x +  \frac{3}{8}  = 2

2x + 3 = 16

2x = 16 - 3
2x = 13
x =  \frac{13}{2}
x = 6.5
