The blocks orange and yellow are .. square .. because they are made with equal sides a and c ..

so ..

Area of yellow block = 2m²

so side of yellow block = √2 m .

area covered by 4 grey blocks of same side = 4 × (√2 )²

= 4 × 2 = 8 m² ..

Answer:

Area of orange block

= Area of yellow block

 = 2 \:   {m}^{2}

Side of the blocks

 =  \sqrt{2}  \:  \: m

Side of the grey blocks is also

 =  \sqrt{2}  \:  \: m

Area of one grey block

 =  { (\sqrt{2}) }^{2}

2 \:  \:  {m}^{2}

Area of four grey blocks

 = 4 \times 2 \\  = 8 \:  {m}^{2}
