Pls note that LM is not greater than LN if x>y, If x>y , then LN>LM

So your question is wrong.

I would proof LN>LM

Given: x > y

To prove: LN > LM

Concept used: In a triangle, side opposite to greater angle is greater than the side of opposite to smaller angle.

Proof:

In the triangle,

∠LMN = 180°-x

& ∠LNM = 180°-y

As we know it is given that,

x > y

So,

Subtracting both side by 180°, we get:

180 - x > 180 - y

∠LMN  > ∠LNM

So, using the concept that side opposite to greater side is greater, we get:

∠LN >∠LM
