we know that for any value of a
-1≤ sin(x+a) ≤ 1
⇒ -1 + b ≤ sin(x+a) + b ≤ 1+ b
so max value of sin (x+a) + b = 1 +b
A/Q both the functions sinx and sin(x+a) + b have same max value
⇒ 1+b = 1 ⇒ b=0
now from above plotted graph we find that graph of sinx has been shifted to right that implies a is less than zero
so ans a<0 and b=0 option A) correct
hope this helps ............any doubts, then ask
