tan x + cot x= ?

tan x- cot x= ?

Solution :-

we know that

(a+b)²=(a²+b²+2ab)

so

(tan x +cot x)²

= tan²x +cot²x +2tan x cot x

= (10/7)+2×tanx × 1/tan x

= (10/7)+2

= (10+14)/7

= 24/7

tan x + cot x= √(24/7)

(tan x - cot x )²

= tan ²x + cot²x -2 × tan x × cot x

= tan ²x + cot²x -2

= (10/7)-2

= (10-14)/7

= -4/7

=> tan x - cot x = √(-4/7)
