resistors 2 ohm and 6 ohm are collected in parallel between B and C. let r be the equivalent resistance between B and C

 \frac{1}{r}   =  \frac{1}{2}  +  \frac{1}{6}  =  \frac{2}{3}  \\ or \\ r =  \frac{3}{2} ohm

Now, equivalent resistance r is in series with 10 ohm.

therefore the total resistance in the circuit R = 10+1.5=11.5ohm
