Let your speed be x Km/h
Distance = 2 km
We are given,
2/x - 2/x+1 = 10/60 [∵Time = Distance/Speed]
2/x - 2/x+1 = 1/6
so, 12[1/x - 1/x+1] = 1
so, 12[x+1 -x/(x)(x+1) ] = 1
so, 12[1]/x² + x = 1
so, x² + x - 12 = 0
so, x² + 4x - 3x - 12 = 0
so, x(x+4) -3(x+4) = 0
so, x = 3, -4
But speed can't be negative
Hence, your rate of walking = 3 Km/h
