Sin²x = height²/hypotenuse²

Cos²x = base²/hypotenuse²

Sin²x +cos²x = (height²+base²)/hypotenuse²

Sin²x + cos²x = hypotenuse²/hypotenuse²

Sin²x + cos²x = 1

I hope this will help you
