Hey there!

Given,

Mass of the object :- 5kg
Weight : 49N

Gravity on earth

W = mg
49 = 5 × g
g = 49/5
g = 9.8

Given gravity of moon is 1/6th the gravity of earth.

g (moon) = 9.8 × 1/6

= 9.8/6 = 1.633

Mass willn't change. mass of the body will be same everywhere.

I.e. mass of that object on moon will remain the same, 5kg

W = mg
= 5 × 1.633
= 8.17N

So, Mass = 5kg
Weight = 8.17N

Hope helped.

AkshithaZayn: thanks
