A   class picnic was organized for classes V to VII on 13th February 2015 and venue chosen was Pavna Huts. Pavna Huts, an awesome picnic spot is located in Pavana Nagar near Kamshet, Maharashtra.
We  started early on 13th morning, a group of 144 children accompanied with six  teachers mainly Mrs Priji Nair, Mrs Snigdha Dey, Mrs Remmya Parthasarthy, Mr Prakash  Poojary, Mrs  Punam Kumari  and Shivani Hazarika. It took us two hours to reach our destination. Children in all the three buses chanted Ganesh Mantra to begin with, followed by melodious songs all the way to picnic spot. We were welcomed by Mr. Prasad Yelakar and his family, the owner of the place when we reached at 10: 30 am. After enjoying Poha in breakfast, it was time for other activities. Children of class V A & B were taken for a visit to organic farm by Mr. Yelakar while classes VI & VII went for trekking to Bedse caves which is about 2 kms from Pavna Huts.
All the children were back in the play area by 1 o’ clock. They enjoyed cricket, football and badminton which were carried by them. They also enjoyed Tug of War, Trampoline and Hanging Bridge available at the picnic spot. After the games all children danced on wrap songs in the enclosed dancing area. After dance, children were served a delicious lunch consisting of Khichdi, Choley, Gobi Alu sabji, Chappati and Halwa.
After the heavy lunch it was time to start the journey back.  Mr Prakash Poojary and Mrs Punam helped in making the picnic a great success and also memorable for the children.
