Please solve my previous question + this one too
A train travels a distance of 480 km at a uniform speed. if the speed has been 8 kilometre per hour less than it would have taken 3 hours more to cover the same distance. We need to find a speed of the train.

  • Let speed of train be X kilometre per hour.
  • Time taken to travel 480 km= 480/X hrs

In second condition,

  • Speed of train= (X-8) km/h

It is also given that rain will take 3 hours to cover the same distance,

  • Therefore, time taken to travel 480 kilometre per hour= (480/x+3)hrs

As we know that,

Distance= Speed× Time

(x-8)(480x+3)=480
