let the two digit number be xy
xy can also be written as (10x+y)

given
1.) x+y=5
2.)by reversing the number increase by 9

yx=xy+9
10y+x= 10x+y+9
9y-9x=9
y-x=1

solving two equation
y-x=1
x+y=5

2y=6
y=3
x=2

so number is 23

Let's assume that the two digit number be
(10a+b)

Now according to the question
a+b =5 and ..........(i)
(10b+a) = (10a+b) +9
9b-9a=9
b-a = 1............(ii)

adding eq (i) and (ii) , we get,
2b = 6
b=3
by substituting in eq (i) we get
a= 2

So, the original number is (10a+b) = 23
