Hey Friend...

Here is the Solution..

______________________

>> First of all Lets simplify the values of 'a'  and 'b' <<

a = \frac{2^{x-1}}{2^{x-2}}\\\\a = 2^{x-1 - (x-2)} = 2^{x-1-x+2}\\\\a = 2

b = \frac{2^{-x}}{2^{x+1}}\\\\b = 2^{-x-(x+1)} = 2^{-x-x-1}\\\\b = 2^{-2x-1}

>> We have simplified the values

So lets put the values on given equation :

>> a - b = 0 <<

→ 2 - 2^{-2x-1} = 0

→ 2 = 2^{-2x-1}

→ 2⁰ = 2^{-2x-1}

Comparing powers..

⇒ 0 = -2x - 1

⇒ 2x = -1

⇒ x = -1/2

>> Hence The Answer Comes <<

_______Ans : x = -1/2_______
