Step-by-step explanation:

sin(x+2y) = √3/2

sin(x+2y)= sin60°

x+2y = 60° ........(1)

.cos(x+4y)= 0

cos(x+4y) = cos 90°

x+4y= 90° ..... .. (2)

On solving equations 1 and 2 we get,

x+2y=60°

x+4y=90°

________

-2y= -30°

y= 15°

Substitute value of y in 1 we get,

x+2(15)= 60°

x+30°=60°

x=30°.
